From our shelterbelt at Loburn, Rangiora, this tree is greenwood but has been drying now since the end of March. If it is split soon and left in the weather to season, it will be OK for spring fires and excellent for autumn next year.
2.2m3 Radiata tree for sale
2.2 m3 estimated solid wood volume for the log (50cm base diameter and 23.5m long) branches and pinecones are a bonus. A typical merchants cubic metre is not stacked so can have up to around 40% air, even a cord (3.6m3 stacked) has a lot of air, this is 2.2m3 of solid wood.
It was $50 for as much of the tree as you want but it’s up to you to cut it up, remove it and make a heap of the light branch material that you don’t want. For an additional fee, I can help with the chainsaw work.
